Howdy! My name is Felicia and I’m just a girl learning how to code. Before I even got into programming I was an architecture student, receiving my Associates in Arts of Architecture at San Antonio College. I made the transition to Construction Science, but before I could take any classes, I had to drop the semester because tuition was too much for me at the moment. After dabbling a little bit in Free Code Camp and researching other coding tutorials, I realized that this was something that I was very curious about, and could see myself doing/learning for a really long time. Now I’m attending Launch School full-time with the intention of becoming a full stack software engineer. Learning to program has been a journey not just for coding, but for myself as well. Taking this on has made me rethink how I learn, how our brains work, good study habits and the kind of determination it takes to do this from the ground up. I started from 0, and I’m curious to see where this journey takes me. What better way to keep track of my progress than to blog about it! Aside from this, I started a YouTube channel to talk more about my school, my hobbies, the things I do to keep organized, and show myself working through Ruby. It’s a lot to take on, but I’m ready!
